《怦然心动》是依据同名原著小说改编的电影，于2010年上映。描述了青春期中男生女生之间的有趣战争，年少的暗恋单纯而美好。
朱莉真诚地相信三件事：树是圣洁的（尤其是她最喜欢的梧桐树）、她在后院里饲养的鸡生出来的鸡蛋是最卫生的、与总有一天她会和布莱斯KISS。
小学二年级时在看到布莱斯的蓝双眼那一瞬间，朱莉的心就被他击中了。不幸的是，布莱斯对她却有的排斥。而且，他觉得朱莉有点怪，如何会有人把养鸡和坐在树下看成乐趣呢？
伴随两个人的成长，布莱斯日渐被朱莉身上纯洁善良的性格特点所吸引，两人一同种下一棵树，友谊与爱情之花终于慢慢滋长。
